Sound familiar? I constantly get questions like these from non Shannon owners in boatyards and marinas no matter where I travel. Answers to questions are hard to find in books or on the Internet, and sadly, there is usually no one to talk to for those answers. If you do search the Internet, can you always trust what you find? You may be a newcomer to boating, or an experienced captain and I’m certain that there were times when you needed advice on a boating issue, but had no one to ask that has over 40 years of real world boat experience.

You may be a successful doctor, business person or truck driver. You aren’t expected to know everything there is to know about this crazy industry!! Why would you? Yet you love boating. You want to be a part of it without it upsetting you and ruining your fun. If you’re wondering about my motivation, the simple answer is that this is what I like to do.
That being said, ask away. I want my site to be informative and entertaining. Plus it’s free for everyone.
